چکیده
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the correlation transiently elevated postoperative serum cancer antigen 125 levels and prognosis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. METHODS: A total 181 normal preoperative were statistically summarized study. RESULTS: Out analyzed patients, 22 (12.2%) showed elevation within one month after surgery. Serum level decreased at three months postoperation. positively correlated pro-brain natriuretic peptide (p=0.00035). Univariate analysis did not find significant difference disease progression survival between those who experienced early postoperation (p=0.646). CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, transient is associated increase pulmonary surgery patients.

PURPOSE The significance of the postoperative serum C-reactive protein (CRP) level as a prognosis indicator was evaluated in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). PATIENTS AND METHODS A total of 276 patients who had undergone a curative resection of NSCLC were retrospectively reviewed. RESULTS The overall and disease-specific survival rates in the postoperative CRP/high group (≥...
متن کاملSerum carcinoembryonic antigen level in pN1 non-small cell lung cancer patients.
BACKGROUND Although the prognostic significance of the serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level in non-small cell lung cancer has been reported in several studies, it is unknown whether the serum CEA level is a prognostic determinant for pN1 disease or not. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy patients with pN1 non-small cell lung cancer who received complete resection were reviewed. The preoperat...
متن کاملATM induces radioresistance of non-small cell lung cancer A549 cells by downregulation of MDMX
Background: Tumor radioresistance leads to a reduction in the efficiency of radiation therapy. It is very important to explore the cellular mechanisms leading to radioresistance and to find potential therapeutic targets, which might improve the efficacy of radiation therapy. This study was to investigate the role of ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) and murine double minute X (MDMX) in radior...
متن کاملSentinel Node Mapping in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Using an Intraoperative Radiotracer Technique
Objective(s): Lymph node metastases are the most significant prognostic factor in localized non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Identification of the first nodal drainage site (sentinel node) may improve detection of metastatic nodes. Extended surgeries, such as lobectomy or pneumonectomy with lymph node dissection, are among the therapeutic options of higher acceptab...
